1. History of Accenture

 a. Formation and Early years of Accenture:

   An early pioneer of the computer is Joseph Glickauf and it was held a position in administrative services division as head of Arthur  Andersen’s.

 b. Splitting from Arthur Andersen of Accenture: 
 Andersen and Arthur Andersen consulting became the separate units of Andersen worldwide society cooperative (AWSC) in the year of 1989. And there is an increasing tension between the Andersen consulting and Andersen in 1990’s.As the result of conclusion of arbitration in august 2000 Andersen consulting broke all contract related ties with Arthur Andersen and AWSC with the international chamber of commerce.

  c. Emergence:

 Andersen consulting was adopted its present name as “Accenture” on first January 2001.The “Accenture” word was derived from the concept of “Accent on the future”. The Danish employee  from the company named kim Petersen was submitted the name “Accenture”.

  d. Bermuda Headquarters of Accenture:

 The congressional GAO office has identified that the Accenture as one of 4 publicly traded contractors in October of 2002. In 2003 Accenture is engaged in large and ambitious IT overhaul project. The UK government abandoned the project 5 years later for some reasons.

 e. Ireland headquarters of Accenture:

 On may 26th May Accenture announced that its board of Directors approved changing of company’s place to  Ireland from Bermuda and finally it would become the Accenture plc.

2. Services and Operations of Accenture:

    The strategy of Accenture was launched in December 2013 to provide some services like business strategy, operations and Technology strategy. The consulting of Accenture was launched in June 2015 to provide some consulting like technology, business and management etc. The operations of Accenture mainly focuses on “as-a-service” model of service delivery. This can be includes the various services like managed operation, security, business process outsourcing, IT services cloud services and infrastructure services.

 3. Marketing, identity and Branding of Accenture:

     Accenture used Tiger woods as celebrity spokesperson for at least 2005 until 2009 December. The company terminated woods 6 year sponsorship deal on 13 December 2009 after details of woods marital affairs were exposed.This company uses an extensive use of font i.e. Rot is Samisens with the standardized system of branding.

4. Awards and Honors in Accenture:

     In the top 50 companies for diversity for diversity Inc, the firm was named 9th in 2003. Accenture was recognized and identified as leader of world wide cloud services company in the year 2014.  The ranking of Accenture is at 339 on the Forbes global 2000 list in 2014.And in 2015 Accenture was ranked at 322 on the Forbes Global 2000 list. The firm was 12th in top 50 companies for diversity by diversity Inc in 2014.
