1. History of Infosys:

 The foundation of Infosys was happened in the year 1981 by CEO's Nandan Nilekani, Narayan Murthy, N.S.Raghavan, S.D.Shibulal ,S.Gopalakrishnan, Ashok Arora and K.Dinesh after they resigned from the Patni Computer systems Company. This was named on the “Infosys Consultants Private Limited”. The Headquarters of the Infosys  company was shifted from Pune to Bangalore in the year of 1983.In April 1992, the name of the company changed its name as “Infosys Technologies Pvt Ltd”. Later  the company name was renamed as “Infosys Ltd”.

          The listing of Infosys Limited American Depository shares has been transferred from the NASDAQ to NYSE, in December 2002.On 13th-dec-2013, the credit rate of a company is given by Poor’s and Standard is ‘A’.

   Infosys Limited had 950 employees across 50 countries on March 31st 2015. Infosys has development centers and     the global footprint with the offices all over the world.  In ‘Milwaukee’ a new office is announced by the Infosys Company, in 2012 and it is the 18th international office in US. 1,200 US employees were hired in 2011 by the Infosys Limited.

3. Products and Services of Infosys: 

  The company provides various services like Maintenance, Software development and validation of independent services to the companies in Finance, Banking, Manufacturing, Insurance and other domains. ’Finacle’ is one of its known products and this is called Universal banking solution.

4. Acquisitions of Infosys:

  For 23$ million Infosys acquired Australia based IT service provider in December of 2003. For $38 million Infosys Limited BPO acquired Atlanta based McCamish, in December  2009. For $345 million, Infosys Limited acquired Switzerland-based Lodestone Management Consultants in September 2012.

5. Foundation of Infosys:

  Infosys Foundation was established by the Infosys Limited, in 1996. And this foundation is to support the underprivileged sections of society. Many programs are implemented by the Infosys Foundation in Karnataka. It subsequently placed in various states which are Andhra Pradesh, Odessa, Tamil Nadu, Punjab  and Maharashtra.
